Main Cast: Donatella Finocchiaro, Barry Ward, Carolina Crescentini

The tradition of mercy killing, as passed down through her mother, has been kept as a closely guarded secret by Annetta. In her ancestral Sardinian world, she is the Accabadora: despite her young age, she is both strong and resolved in her determination to carry on this ancient ritual even under the threat of death. But World War 2 is bringing deep social changes, helping Annetta to go beyond the purgatory of her condition, discovering the unexplored path of love. Accabadora received fantastic reviews in Italy and surprised many with its box office success there. The leading roles are played with a terrific intensity, including a remarkable star turn – in Italian – from Irish actor and Subtitle regular, Barry Ward.
