Zelenka’s hilarious mockumentary Lost in Munich offers new theories about the 1938 Munich agreement, which forced Czechoslovakia to cede much of its border region to Germany and also reflects on the perils of filmmaking.

‘Sir P’ a 90 year old grey parrot, formerly living with Edouard Daladier, the French prime minister responsible for signing the Munich Treaty, comes to Prague to give his ‘account’ of the past events. But can he do it, being just a bird? In a series of remarkable twists, Sir P is kidnapped by a Czech journalist undergoing his midlife crisis and on live television Sir P makes a set of controversial and racist statements, causing a diplomatic uproar. The 2016 Czech submission for an Academy Award, Lost in Munich is an extremely funny and sly comedy with a sharp satirical edge. A real Subtitle coup.
