This bromance comedy-drama from France features fantastic performances from its two leads: Fabrice Lucini and Lambert Wilson, garnering the former a César nomination for Best Actor. Lucini plays ‘Serge’, a retired actor who is pursued by Wilson’s ‘Gauthier’ to co-star in a new production of Molière’s The Misanthrope. As the two characters circle each other teasing out the different motivations at play, the arrival of local Italian woman, ‘Francesca’ only serves to further spark their quarrelsome relationship. It’s great fun, very very engaging and clever too.
