    Original Title: Sandheden om mænd
    Language: Danish
Writer: Nicolaj Arcel and Rasmus Heisterberg
Main Cast: Thure Lindhardt, Tuva Novotny, Rosalinde Mynster, Signe Egholm Olsen, Henning Valin, Karen-Lise Mynster

Mads (Thure Lindhardt) moves into a house with his lovely girlfriend Marie (Tuva Novotny). And then a sudden pang of doubt strikes him. Is this the meaning of life? Has he lived out all his dreams? Is he truly happy? Mads drops everything, moves away from Marie and throws himself into a desperate quest to live out his greatest dreams; a quest to find the meaning of life and the one. It’s a quest that includes friends from the gang, Louise and Peter (Signe Egholm and Henning Valin), dates, a new and younger girlfriend (Rosalinde Mynster), break-ups, meetings with in-laws, nights on the town, frustrating hours working on the perfect screenplay, and an eternal search for a happy life. Truth About Men is a moving and heartfelt dark comedy about men, the meaning of life, dreams, and love.

The Bottom Line:

This is a very funny relationship comedy as a frustrated screen writer tries to find a true and pure love through his own screenwriting rules; a very clever and quirky film from Nicolaj Arcel, with plenty of laughs and subtle life lessons in equal measure.
